After losing her parents in the Marley-Maharlika war (845) — dubbed the “Battle of Shattered Seas” — Juliette was forced to relocate to Marley as a child with her older brother when he was conscripted into the Marleyan army. They forged a new home together in a small cottage in Liberio as her brother split his time between training in the Marleyan military and raising his little sister. Due to their ethnic background, the two live a life of disparity in Marley. Despite their hardships, Juliette sought daily pleasure in being amongst nature, distracting herself from the pains of everyday life by daydreaming of better days.

As soon as she was old enough to work, Juliette used her love of flowers to begin a small business making custom-made bouquets to the locals, occasionally giving out flowers for free as advertising. Juliette’s style of floral arranging blended Maharlika and Marleyan styles using local flora. Most locals were not used to her unique style of bouquets and often held discriminatory values towards the Maharlikan people. But it was her style that grew her popularity amongst the young brides of Marley that longed for a traditional wedding unlike any other.

Word of her services quickly spread amongst the chatty neighborhood women and soon after she was able to open a small flower shop out of the small home she shared with her (now missing) brother. Before her shop was destroyed in the Raid on Liberio, Juliette was one of the most loved florists in town amongst young women and the elderly.
